Using Graph-Based Analytics to Create and Evaluate Retail Floor Sets

Planning a floor set is a complicated process that has been conventionally modeled from a combination of design direction and visual team decisions and has required marketing support, but it has rarely been driven by customer-centric purchasing data. Applying graph-based analytics allows the detection of historical product affinities and identification of groups of strongly connected products that can help form a highly productive floor set. Grouping SKUs that sell well together can help with placement, promotion, future product design, and, ultimately, inventory needs to maximize sales and margin. Using historical patterns to determine which items are bought together and to identify when they are bought together can improve the shopping experience for the customer and reduce subjectivity in how to assort the floor. Customer-informed selling patterns can help avoid unnecessary reactive movement of product.

More information on the competencies is listed below: Gold Application Development Competency Recognizes an organization’s proven ability to deliver Microsoft-based solutions in application development, using products such as Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Visual Studio, Windows, and Windows Server. To earn this competency, a company must have: – 4 individuals with an App Dev Microsoft Certified Solution Developer designation (each person must pass 3 individual exams) – 5 customer references of documented, successful Microsoft-based solutions within the last 12 months – An organizational profile on record with Microsoft Gold Collaboration and Content Competency Recognizes an organization’s proven ability to help customers share, collaborate, and improve productivity with SharePoint solutions, using products such as Microsoft SharePoint Server and Microsoft SharePoint Online. A team of over twenty employees from ICC will be attending CodeMash in Sandusky, Ohio this week.
